“Earnest taught us that love sometimes needs to be firm and that accountability is not only a good thing, but necessary and desirable. Everything that he does, he does with love first and with the purpose of giving all glory to God”

Our History:

More than 250,000 children are placed into the foster care system in the United States every year.  After reaching age 18, 20% of children who were in foster care will immediately become homeless.  With no place to go, most are without employment, education, driver's license, and most importantly, a loving support system.

In early 2020, after retiring from Youth Horizons, Earnest Alexander became aware of the large number of young men who had aged out of the foster care system and were left alone on the streets in the Wichita area.  As a result, he formed Life On Life, a 501(c)3 non-profit whose mission is to serve young men who had aged-out.

Earnest began by reaching out to several young men he knew from Youth Horizons who were having trouble establishing a sound life for themselves.  When word reached many of Earnest's friends, support, both monetarily and in the form of  used cars, began flowing in.

Today Earnest provides his youth with several services such as mentoring and life coaching, help in obtaining a GED and/or driver's license, and gainful employment.  For some a good used car is made available, and most importantly, the authentic and caring love of Earnest himself.

Currently Earnest is working with 34 young people.
